#Quattro Canti (The Four Corners) is a Baroque style square in #Palermo, Sicily, also known as Piazza Vigliena. Quatro Canti divides Palermo into 4 districs. It is the famous crossroad of principal streets of Palermo: Corso Vittorio Emanuele and Via Maqueda. Quattro Canti is situated in the heart of Palermo historical area. All the sights and famous monuments of the city are easy reachable within walking distance from square. For this reason Quattro Canti is famous as a meeting point. The interesting fact that 4 almost identical corners of the square illustrate different Seasons of the year, Spanish kings (Carlo V, Filippo II, Filippo III and Filippo IV) and Patron saints of Palermo (Agata, Ninfa, Oliva and Cristina). Baroque style sculptures were designed by the italian architect Giulio Lasso.
